| Trash Guidelines |
- No more than two 32-gallon barrels or bags
- Barrels must have lids
- Overflow bags available for $2 (sleeve of five) from Agway, No. Chelsmford Hardware, Hannaford, Stop and Shop, and Walgreens
- Do not fill over 3 inches above the top of the barrel
- One oversized item (e.g. mattress, furniture) per week per household
- Trash cannot be placed inside cardboard boxes - please recycle the cardboard
- Donate usable items to a charity

- Carpeting
- cut into 3' strips
- tie or tape into rolls up to 12" in diameter
- only 5 rolls per week
- Fiberglass tub/shower
- cut into pieces that can be handled by the haulers
- put at curb with trash
- Paint, Latex
(oil-based is hazardous waste)
- remove lid and allow paint to dry completely
- if can is somewhat full to dry, purchase paint hardener at hardware store
- when paint is 100% dry, place cans at curb with lids off
- Toilet
- separate seat from tank
- put one part out per week
- Windows
- thoroughly tape glass on BOTH sides
- only 5 windows per week
- Wood
- SMALL amounts
- remove or hammer down nails
- cut boards to no longer than 3 feet
- tie in bundles no more than 30 pounds each
- only 1 bundle each week

- Yard waste (leaves, grass clippings, brush and Christmas trees)
