Coaches Wanted

Do you have shareable skills with household repairs? The Chelmsford Public Library and the Chelmsford Recycling Committee are coordinating a series of collaborative learning events aimed at helping our neighbors fix everyday items. These "Repair Cafes" and "Fix-It Clinics" offer community members a chance to learn to maintain and repair their stuff.

We are looking for a few more skilled and tech-savvy makers to serve as coaches to help your neighbors learn to fix their own things. If you are mechanically inclined and would like to share your skills as a coach, fill out a volunteer form.

This is not a free repair service. This is a chance to share your skills, knowledge and maybe your tools with your neighbors for a few hours. You will help them learn to troubleshoot and repair their own things, rather than throwing them away!

Ask at the library’s reference desk for more information!
