Each winter, Chelmsford Boy Scout Troop 70 provides a Christmas tree collection service in the Town of Chelmsford (for Chelmsford residents only). Scouts will be picking up trees on Dec. 30 and 31, and Jan. 6 and 7 this season. Zero Waste Day Drop-off
Zero Waste Day is an opportunity for Chelmsford residents to keep usable goods out of the waste stream. This is a FREE “one-stop drop” event that allows residents to donate items to multiple non-profits at the same time and same place.
The Paper Shredding event (for Chelmsford residents only) will be incorporated during this event.
Electronics & Metal Recycling Fundraiser
The McCarthy Middle School and Center Elementary School PTOs are holding this biannual E-Waste & Junk Recycle Day fundraiser. This is a “donate-to-drop” fundraising event to dispose of metal, appliances, electronics and more. For more details on accepted items, see the flyer.

Do you have broken stuff? Would you like to learn to fix it? Join us at Chelmsford’s first Repair Café! Hosted by the Chelmsford Senior Center and coordinated by the Chelmsford Public Library and the Chelmsford Recycling Committee, the Repair Café welcomes residents to bring items from your home that need repair.

Leaves and grass must be in barrels or COMPOSTABLE paper bags.
Brush must be in manageable piles as materials will be loaded into the trucks by hand. Smaller brush may be placed in barrels. No rope, wire, plastic bags, etc. Max size of 6” diameter x 8’ long.
