gifters and shoppers

Looking to declutter? The Chelmsford Recycling Committee is hosting our first Junk in the Trunk event — a free, open-air community exchange where residents can give away household items and find new treasures.

The event aims to promote sustainability by keeping usable goods out of landfills. Participation is simple! Load your items into your trunk and head to the Chelmsford High School back parking lot.

  • Date: Saturday, May 16th 9:30am arrival for gifters, 10:00am arrival for shoppers. Event lasts until 11:00am.

  • Location:  Chelmsford High School back parking lot (next to Harrington School)

  • Cost: Completely FREE for both givers and shoppers

  • No Drop-Offs: Givers must remain on-site until their items are gifted or donated.

  • Leftovers: New England Clothes Recycling will be on hand to accept remaining donations after the event.
