Paper cups are now officially recyclable in Massachusetts!

All cups made of paper are now accepted in MA recycling bins, including:

  • paper coffee cups

  • fountain drink cups

  • dixie cups

  • little sippy cups

  • compostable cups

So, let's recycle our empty paper cups!

If you’re wondering, “what changed?” the paper recycling plants in MA are now able to separate the poly lining of each cup from the paper.

Note: Straws and stirrers, foam cups, and the lids that come on hot beverages are still trash.
