It’s important to discard your non-working holiday lights in an environmentally friendly way. They might be repairable by replacing a blown fuse. If the lights are not working, then they should not be thrown in the trash or recycling bin. 

There will be four collection boxes around town by October 9, 2026, until January 31, 2027:

• Senior Center (Groton Rd) - just inside the main entrance

• Adams Library (Boston Rd) - just inside the main entrance

• Town Offices

• DPW (9 Alpha Rd) - lobby

If the lights are working, please donate them. Simple Recycling will take functional string lights as will other household donation sites.
